Changing lives one sniff at a time
About Medi-Dogs
Welcome to Medi-Dogs Service Dog Program!
We are so glad you joined us! We are a Madison, WI service dog training program that serves the entirety of the U.S.A. We are committed to training highly skilled service dogs for a range of disabilities including Diabetes, POTS, MS, Autism and more.
Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through the training of service dogs. This means that we do not place fully trained service dogs as the training process is vital for the human-animal bond. We do place started dogs for those who are not interested in the full training process. Additionally, we coach individuals in how to train their service dogs themselves through our owner training program.
We utilize shelter dogs and adult dogs in this program, while also supporting ethical reputable breeders. We can assist you as you decide where your service dog prospect comes from.
While our dogs are supported by professional trainers, our foster homes make the biggest difference in their time with us. Fosters can be as short as over the weekend, or however long you wish to enjoy one of our dogs. Fosters help our shelter dogs see the world, adjust to living in a home and keep our boarding costs low. Not able to foster? We have other ways you can support our life changing mission without leaving your home!

Our Certified Trainers will coach you from start to finish through personalized sessions and training plans. Utilize your already owned dog or let us help you find a prospect. Sessions are 2x per week for the duration of the training.
Want to cut the training time down? Started dogs are partially done with their training and tend to graduate within 6 months of placement. These dogs have passed their Readiness Test.
Not enough time in the day to train? Utilize our Board and Train or Day Training to train your dog while you work. Professional training typically takes significantly less time to complete than owner training.
Dogs that aren't a good fit for Public Access Work may still be able to do tasks in home. Many clients may prefer this to the heavy training that PA requires as well.
